Do biker gangs in Maine worry you?

A recently released court document following the shooting of a member of the Outlaws biker group in Old Orchard Beach suggests the “clubs” – known to law enforcement agencies as gangs – are operating in Maine. According to law enforcement, the groups are responsible for violent crime, intimidation of the public, drug dealing and other illegal activities.

Do you welcome the presence of federal agents in Maine, such as those from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, to apprehend suspected criminals in biker gangs? Or was the federal agency too heavy handed? Do the biker clubs function like organized crime, or do some members merely break laws as individuals?
