ABBOT, Maine — A North Guilford Road resident was charged with marijuana cultivation Tuesday after deputies executed a search warrant at his home.

James Lusardi, 26, was home Tuesday morning when officers from the Piscataquis County Sheriff’s Department searched his home for possible drugs, according to Investigator Allen Emerson of the Sheriff’s Department.

Deputies had gone to Lusardi’s home on Monday to make a probation check on a man who reportedly was staying with Lusardi, Emerson said Tuesday. The man was not there but deputies observed a marijuana plant through a window, he said.

Two larger marijuana plants were confiscated from Lusardi’s home on Tuesday along with a “bunch of smaller ones,” Emerson said.
