DOVER-FOXCROFT, Maine —Thieves broke into McKusick Petroleum Co. sometime between Sunday and Monday and made off with five monitor heaters, police said.

The thieves pried open a back door to gain entry into the Summer Street building, according to Dover-Foxcroft police Officer Todd Lyford.

In addition to the heaters valued at $6,500, the thieves also took a couple of cases of bar and chain oil, Lyford said Thursday.

Anyone who may have seen any activity around the building between Sunday and Monday is asked to call the Dover-Foxcroft Police Department at 564-8021.
