Union 60 residents approved the school budget Tuesday during a budget validation vote. Willimantic, Beaver Cove, Greenville and Shirley voted 459-258 in favor of the budget.
Rather than scrap the budget validation referendum process, which confirms the action taken at local budget meetings, residents voted to keep the process by a 438-271 vote.
That was the same result in SAD 4 where residents in the communities of Guilford, Sangerville, Parkman, Abbot and Sangerville voted 195-127 to keep the budget validation referendum. Residents in those communities approved the budget by a vote of 102-60. Cambridge results were not reported as of late Tuesday night.
In SAD 46, the towns of Dexter and Exeter voted 637-293 in favor of the budget. Garland and Ripley had not reported their school votes as of late Tuesday night. Residents also voted 565-326 to continue the budget validation process for an additional three years.
With the exception of Charleston, which had not reported its results Tuesday night, SAD 68 residents in Sebec, Monson and Dover-Foxcroft approved the budget 1,022 to 498 and they also voted to keep the validation process in a 961-543 vote.
