GLENBURN, Maine — Residents have selected an incumbent and a newcomer to sit on the Town Council for the next three years, according to unofficial tallies.

Residents elected incumbent Kevin Paschal, who earned 619 votes, and resident John Caruso, who gathered 281 votes. Paschal and Caruso beat out incumbent Michael Cote, who received 275 votes, and Thomas Pinkham, 218 votes.

Rhonda Curtis Doughty, who ran unopposed for a two-year seat on the council, tallied 656 votes to earn that post. She replaces Blake Fryer, who resigned.

No one ran for the open school board post, which means town councilors will have to appoint someone.
