Booklet helps caregivers deal with kids’ grief

ROCKPORT, Maine — Children’s Grief and Ways to Help, a 16-page booklet, recently was published by Coastal Family Hospice Volunteers. The booklet was written for parents and caregivers to help them recognize the many ways in which children grieve.

Camden psychiatrist Diane Schetky wrote the text for the booklet, 3-year-old Chloe Day-Lynch of Tenants Harbor did the illustrations, and Chris McLarty of Silverline Studio in Camden did the design.

Copies are available free through the children’s librarians of the Camden, Rockland and Rockport Public Libraries.
