PORTLAND, Maine — The Maine Medical Examiner’s Office says drowning was the cause of death for a 66-year-old man whose body was recovered from Casco Bay.

Portland police have identified the man as Henry Witmer of Portland.

Lt. Gary Rogers said Witmer’s body was discovered near Ram Island last Thursday morning by the Maine Marine Patrol and the U.S. Coast Guard during routine operations.
