CONCORD, N.H. — The wife of New Hampshire’s governor showed up in court to fight a traffic ticket, pleading not guilty to a violation of failing to yield to an emergency vehicle.

The attorney for Susan Lynch, tells the New Hampshire Union Leader that she was driving toward a Concord fire station in November as an ambulance was coming out. Chuck Douglas, her attorney, says she decided to go past the ambulance, rather than stopping.

Douglas says under an agreement Wednesday with the prosecutor, the violation was placed on file and will disappear in six months, barring any more violations.

Lynch appeared in Concord District Court.
