Maine jury to resume deliberations in attack trial

The Associated Press

PORTLAND, Maine — A Maine jury is due to resume deliberations in the trial of a woman charged with beating her husband with a baseball bat and then shooting herself to make it look like a home invasion.

A Cumberland County jury deliberated briefly Monday the fate of 48-year-old Linda Dolloff of Standish before recessing. They’re due to continue on Tuesday.

Jurors will decide whether Dolloff beat her husband and then shot herself in the abdomen to cover up the assault or if the two were victims of a home invasion.

Dolloff is charged with attempted murder, elevated aggravated assault and filing a false report.

Jeffrey Dolloff remembers nothing of the attack in their home.
