‘Stamp Out Hunger’

Cassandra Girardin (left) of Penobscot Job Corps Center helped Jacob DuBose (right), 12, of Carmel and other volunteers bring a delivery of donated food items into the United Postal Service’s Eastern Maine Processing & Distribution Facility in Hampden on Saturday. By the end of the day the food was distributed to area food banks, pantries and shelters. The annual “Stamp Out Hunger” food drive, purported to be the nation’s largest one-day food drive, is organized by the National Association of Letter Carriers. Buy Photo
