Randy Spencer, a Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife biologist, was traveling on Route 15 in Abbot at about 2:30 p.m. Monday when he spotted a vehicle on fire and called 911. Within moments, the car became what Spencer described as a “fireball.” Members of the Guilford Fire Department put out the fire and no one was injured, according to a Piscataquis County dispatcher. The name of the car’s owner and other details about the incident were not immediately available Monday.
