Maine governor hopefuls face reporting deadline

The Associated Press

AUGUSTA, Maine — Privately funded candidates for Maine governor face a deadline this week to report how much money they’ve collected and spent.

Tuesday’s deadline applies to the two Democrats and six Republicans who are raising funds privately. They include Steve Rowe and Rosa Scarcelli on the Democratic side, and Republicans Steve Abbott, Bill Beardsley, Matt Jacobson, Paul LePage, Les Otten and Bruce Poliquin.

Tuesday’s reports mark 42 days before the June 8 primaries.
