LEWISTON, Maine — A repeat sex offender from Lewiston, Maine, is going back to prison for 17 years for raping a woman and her 2-year-old daughter.

Thirty-one-year-old Joshua A. Whitlock was sentenced Wednesday under an agreement with prosecutors in which he pleaded guilty to charges including gross sexual assault, sexual exploitation of a minor, criminal restraint and possession of sexually explicit materials.

Police say Whitlock raped the girl on several occasions in Lisbon and Lewiston and later held the mother against her will and raped her, as well.

The Sun Journal says that at the time of his arrest Whitlock was on probation from a 2004 conviction for having sex with a 13-year-old girl he met on the Internet.
