The Associated Press

SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine — The Libertarian Party of Maine is electing officers, selecting delegates to the party’s national convention and hearing from the executive director of the Libertarian National Committee.

The party’s convention is being held Saturday at the Governor’s Restaurant in South Portland.

The party, which advocates for small government, says it’s also expecting lively discussion about the recent federal health care legislation and the tea party movement.
