WALDOBORO, Maine — Charges are pending against three high school students who allegedly wrote a bomb threat letter found in a Medomak Valley High School restroom Wednesday morning, according to a press release from SAD 40 Superintendent Francis Boynton.
The students confessed to writing the letter within five minutes after it was discovered, according to the release.
Officials called police and were advised not to evacuate the building. According to Boynton’s release, there was no evidence of the presence of any type of bomb, and staff and students were never at risk.
The Waldoboro Police Department is investigating the case, and the specific charges against the three juveniles were not available Wednesday.
