At Lewiston, Jacob Simon hit a three-run home run to left in the bottom of the 10th inning Thursday to lift Bates College to a 4-1 baseball victory over the University of Maine-Farmington in the Bobcats’ home opener.
Ryan Heide picked up his fourth win, pitching two innings allowing two hits and striking out four for Bates. Mike Ciummei doubled and singled and Simon also tripled.
Conner McNeill hit a triple to lead the Beavers. John Macvane singled twice.
