At Chandler, Ariz., Josh Klismith singled with the bases loaded in the 10th inning Friday, lifting Marian University past the University of Southern Maine.
Matt Foye paced the Huskies of Gorham, who scored nine runs in the second inning, with a double, a single and three RBIs. Mike Eaton doubled and singled with two RBIs and Anthony Pisani posted two singles and two RBIs.
Tim Holtz homered and singled with four RBIs to lead the Sabres. Matt Schroeder doubled and singled with two RBIs.

Southern Maine sweeps Carleton
At Chandler, Ariz., freshman John Carey singled home the winning run in the eighth inning to lead the University of Southern Maine to victory over Carleton College in Thursday’s second game.
The Huskies of Gorham took the first game 10-1.
In the first game, Collin Henry allowed one run on one hit and two walks while striking out seven in six innings for Southern Maine. Mike Eaton had three singles and two RBIs. Anthony Pisani added two singles and two runs scored.
Carleton’s Erik Fabry doubled for Carleton.
In the second game, Carleton scored five runs to tie it at 7 in the seventh inning.
Anthony Pisani had a double, two singles and two runs scored. Carey had three singles and two RBIs.
Fabry homered with two singles for two RBIs to lead Carleton.

At Phoenix, Ariz., Tony Rogers hit a three-run home run to break up a tie game in the eighth inning to lead Hamline University past Thomas College of Waterville.
Andy Powell tripled and scored two runs for Hamline. Dan Ellefson singled twice.
Thom Desjardins hit two singles and scored a run for Thomas. Ben Goodall doubled.

Bowdoin sweeps St. Olaf
At Winter Haven, Fla., Reid Auger hit and RBI double in the third inning and a run-scoring single in the sixth to lead Bowdoin College of Brunswick past St. Olaf College 3-2 in Friday’s opener.
Bowdoin won the second game 8-3.
In the first game, Bowdoin’s Tim Welch earned the win by allowing two runs on five hits and one walk through seven innings while striking out seven. Joe Comizio singled twice and scored a run.
Brady Sand doubled and singled for St. Olaf.
In the second game, Dan Hicks had a double, single and three RBIs to pace Bowdoin. Dan Findley singled with two RBIs and Brett Gorman added two singles, two runs scored and an RBI.
Luke Peterson drove in two runs and singled for St. Olaf.

Bowdoin sweeps Plymouth
At Winter Haven, Fla., Brendan Garner and Brett Gorman each hit three-run home runs as Bowdoin topped Plymouth State University 11-3 in Thursday’s first game.
Bowdoin won the second game 5-1.
In the first game, Joe Pace allowed eight hits with four strikeouts in earning the win for Bowdoin.
In the second game, Steve Hall went six innings, allowing one run and striking out nine for Bowdoin. Gorman tripled, singled and scored two runs.

Trinity sweeps Colby
At Winter Haven, Fla., Colby College of Waterville scored six runs in the sixth and eighth innings, but it wasn’t enough as Trinity College topped the Mules 14-12 in the nightcap.
Trinity clobbered Colby 18-1 in the opener.
In the first game, Trinity pounded 18 hits and scored 10 times in the seventh inning.
Richard Newton hit an RBI double for Colby.
In the second game, Mike Mastrocola hit two doubles, a single and drove in three runs for the Mules. Brendan Gallagher hit an RBI triple.
