PALMYRA, Maine — Voters here are being called back to the polls April 9 to elect two selectmen for a second time this year.

On March 12, as voters filed in and out of the polls, election workers noticed a misprint on the local ballot. The names of the three candidates for selectmen were all included, but the ballot instructed voters to choose one person when in fact there were two seats available. Town Clerk Val Sprague said all of the candidates favor a revote.

The polls will open from noon to 7 p.m. April 9 at the Town Hall. Vying for two three-year terms on the Board of Selectmen are incumbents Dan Sprague and Vondell Dunphy, as well as newcomer Denise Chamness.

Absentee ballots are already available at the town office.
