Camera captures eagle laying egg

The Associated Press

GORHAM, Maine — If there’s any question that spring is in the air, computer users can log onto a live Internet camera to see that an eagle has laid eggs in Maine.

Patrick Keenan from Biodiversity Research Institute says its Eaglecam2 captured the eagles lining the nest with grass about two weeks ago. He says an egg was laid on Monday.

The institute won’t say in what town the egg was laid because they don’t want people bothering the nest.

Keenan says Eaglecam2 is one of seven remote cameras allowing people to view the breeding efforts of eagles.
