LIMESTONE – Joyce P. Theriault, 84, wife of the late Vinal D. Theriault, passed away unexpectedly Friday, March 5, 2010, at a Caribou health care facility. She was born Aug. 17, 1925, in Bridgewater, daughter of Vida M. (Tompkins) and Wilfred L. Sherman Sr. She attended Blaine and Mars Hill schools, and was married to Vinal D. Theriault, Oct. 17, 1970. Joyce enjoyed playing cards and country music, and greatly enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her great-granddaughter, Carlee. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Vinal, Aug. 21, 2001; her daughter, Sybil M. Beaulieu, May 7, 1996; and one brother, Wilfred L. Sherman Jr. She is survived by one brother and sister-in-law, Edwin J. and Ellen M. Sherman of Fort Fairfield; three grandchildren, Tammy Michaud and her husband, Stephen, of Portland, Holly Beaulieu of Tifton, Ga., and Jerry Beaulieu and his wife, Stacy, of Sandston, Va.; two great-grandchildren, Carlee Mae Michaud of Portland and Parker Stevens Beaulieu of Sandston, Va.; one nephew, Jerry Sherman of Brewer; one niece, Natalie Sherman of Fort Fairfield; and special friends, Laurie and Casey from Care and Comfort. Friends may call noon-1 p.m. Tuesday, March 9, at Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main St., Fort Fairfield, where the funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. with the Rev. Mark Babin officiating. A time of continued fellowship with refreshments will be held immediately after the funeral service at Veterans of Foreign Wars Paul Lockhart Post No. 6187, Presque Isle Street, Fort Fairfield. Interment will be held at a later date at the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Caribou.
