DOVER-FOXCROFT, Maine — A break-in Thursday morning at a Bear Hill home that was witnessed by a local resident is under investigation by Dover-Foxcroft police.

The local resident, who alerted police, said he saw a man get out of a black van and kick in the door to his neighbor’s home, according to Sgt. Gary West of the Dover-Foxcroft Police Department. West said it appeared nothing was missing from the home. He believes the burglar may have realized that he was being watched.

West said he was very pleased that the neighbor called police quickly. Based on information provided by the home-owner, West said he has a suspect.
