RIPLEY, Maine — Proposed ordinance changes are among the articles to be decided by Ripley residents at the annual town meeting, scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, March 6, at the Grange hall.

One of the proposed changes is to address the subject of recreational vehicles, tents or similar structures placed on a site for more than 90 days a year. If residents give their approval, those vehicles, tents and structures must meet all requirements for a residential structure, including installation of a subsurface sewage disposal system.

Town officials have proposed a 2010 municipal budget of $267,784, which reflects an increase of $44,912 from the current year. Administrative salaries are proposed to increase from $27,795 to $29,000 and general administration from $15,614 to $16,000.

Elections will include a town clerk, selectman, treasurer, administrative assistant, tax collector and excise tax collector.
