DOVER-FOXCROFT, Maine — A break-in Thursday morning at a Bear Hill home that was witnessed by a resident is under investigation by Dover-Foxcroft police.

The resident, who alerted police, said he saw a man get out of a black van and kick in the door to his neighbor’s home, according to Sgt. Gary West of the Dover-Foxcroft Police Department. West said it appeared nothing was missing from the home. He believes the burglar may have realized that he was being watched.

West said he was pleased that the neighbor called police quickly. Based on information provided by the homeowner, West said he has a suspect.
