Ex-legislator honored at Lincoln Day Dinner

BREWER, Maine — Former Bangor City Councilor and state legislator Catharine “Kay” Lebowitz was honored recently at the Lincoln Day Dinner with the Distinguished Service Award presented by Penobscot County Republican chair Rick Johnston.

Lebowitz is well known for her work with the Bangor Troop Greeters, was honored in the Congressional Record and by a Maine Legislative Sentiment. She is a former member of the Maine House of Representatives, representing the city of Bangor, and has served on the Bangor City Council. She also has been a participant in the Blaine House Conference on Aging, has served on the boards of the Bangor Museum, Eastern Maine Community College and Maine Center for Aging, and has volunteered for Eastern Maine United Way.
