Maine school bus driver pleads not guilty to OUI
SACO, Maine — A Saco, Maine, school bus driver accused of driving drunk twice in one day has pleaded not guilty.
WCSH-TV says attorneys for Jan Mooney entered the plea on behalf Wednesday in court in Biddeford.
Mooney resigned in December.
She was arrested Dec. 8 after being taken off her bus just as she was about to take dozens of middle school students home.
Police say her blood alcohol level was more than twice the legal limit for most drivers and more than four times the limit for drivers with commercial licenses, such as bus drivers.
She was also charged with driving herself home from the police station after telling police she had arranged a ride.
