ORONO, Maine — Jackson Taylor of Windham has committed to attend the University of Maine and will compete for the Black Bear football squad, according to head football coach Jack Cosgrove.

Taylor helped lead Windham to the 2009 Class A state championship while passing for 1,830 yards and 20 touchdowns. He was named to all-conference, all-state and all-academic teams after the season. He also earned the principals’ Academic Award and the Clarkson University Achievement Award while carrying a 4.0 GPA at his school.

The eligibility of all student-athletes is contingent upon admission to UMaine and compliance with all NCAA rules, including registration with the NCAA Clearinghouse.
