PORTLAND, Maine — Authorities in Georgia are searching for a Kittery man who is a student at Armstrong Atlantic State University in Savannah.

Bryce Tarter, 19, was last seen leaving campus on Jan. 31 and university spokesman Francisco Duque said campus police were notified he was missing days later.

Armstrong Police Chief Wayne Willcox said he is working with officers across southeast Georgia to locate Tarter. Campus officials also distributed posters with his picture throughout the region.

Tarter is a white man who is about six feet tall and weighs between 140 and 155 pounds.

His vehicle was described as a white 2000 Nissan Frontier with Maine plates.
