KENDUSKEAG and LAKE MARY, Fla. – Janet Peterson, beloved mom of Lindsey Peterson and cherished wife of Richard Haverlock, passed away quietly Jan. 16, 2010, surrounded by her loving family at her Lake Mary, Fla., home. She was born Dec. 5, 1957, the daughter of Carroll and Judy (Blake) Miller. Janet grew up in Maine and graduated from Central High School, East Corinth, in 1976. She moved to Florida in 1993 with Lindsey to begin a new life with Rick. Janet is survived by her husband, Rick Haverlock; daughter, Lindsey; father, Carroll Miller and Audrey Marston of Kenduskeag; mother, Judy Butler and husband, Jim, of Eddington; two sisters, Jaryl Cave and husband, John, of Langley, Wash., and Joyce “Sunni” Foreman and husband, Jim, of Chesapeake, Va.; one brother, Harold of Eddington; three aunts, four nieces and one nephew. Janet is also survived by Lindsey’s paternal grandparents, Karl and Blanche Peterson of Corinth; Rick’s mother, Dottie Haverlock of Old Town; Rick’s brothers and sisters, many wonderful friends and neighbors; and her faithful havenese, Billy. She will always be remembered for her sharp wit, tremendous work ethic, infectious laugh and generous heart. A service will be held in Maine at a place, date and time to be announced.
