OLD ORCHARD BEACH, Maine — One of three people charged with murdering a man in Old Orchard Beach, Maine, has agreed to plead guilty.

Forty-nine-year-old Rennie Cassimy of Brooklyn, N.Y., is scheduled to enter the plea Tuesday in York County Superior Court. Deputy Attorney General Bill Stokes tells the Portland Press Herald that a murder charge will be dropped in exchange for Cassimy’s guilty plea to conspiracy to commit murder.

The conspiracy charge carries a sentence of up to 30 years in prison.

Stokes isn’t saying whether he’ll testify against the others in the killing of Winston George in June 2008. Facing charges are Cassimy, the victim’s wife, Darlene George, and her brother, Jeffrey Williams of West Hempstead, N.Y.
