NH school therapist to plead in child porn case

The Associated Press

CONCORD, N.H. — A former speech pathologist in two New Hampshire school districts is expected to plead guilty next month to a federal charge of transportation of child pornography.

The Nashua Telegraph reported Tuesday on its Web site that court records show John McGarry is scheduled to appear at a plea hearing Feb. 11.

McGarry was arrested in May after an FBI investigation. He had worked for several years at schools in Litchfield and Londonderry but was placed on leave after his arrest.

The charged filed last week by federal prosecutors alleges McGarry sent illicit images over the Internet. Investigators accused McGarry of offering 685 images of videos of child pornography on a file sharing program.
