CONCORD, N.H. — The anniversary of the 1973 Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion prompted weekend demonstrations in northern New England capitals.

In Maine, abortion opponents formed a human chain around the Capitol building in Augusta on Saturday to mourn the 37th anniversary of the Roe vs. Wade decision. Participants say they’re now concerned about health care legislation that would include federal funds for abortion.
