BELMONT, Maine — Although a car and passenger van crash Monday afternoon on Route 131 did not lead to serious injuries, it did cause an estimated $13,000 in damage.

The accident occurred at about 2:21 p.m. when Paul Boisclair, 25, of Waldo, was passing a line of vehicles on Route 131 in his 2003 Chevrolet sedan and crashed into a van that was making a left-hand turn, according to a police report from the Waldo County Sheriff’s Office.

The 2003 Dodge van, driven by 48-year-old James Boguszewski, of Swanville, had about $8,000 in damage, according to police.

Kaden Boisclair, an infant, was treated at the scene for a minor shoulder injury. No one was taken the hospital, police said. Belmont Rescue assisted the sheriff’s department officials at the scene.
