STANDISH, Maine — A Texas man described by officials as a career criminal has been arrested in Maine where he had been living under an assumed name.
Officials say 45-year-old Thomas Lee Franklin of Texarkana, Texas, was arrested Sunday after officials received a tip from the FBI.
Cumberland County Sheriff’s Deputy Kevin Joyce says Franklin had registered vehicles in Maine and obtained a driver’s license under the name Jamie Smith.
WGME-TV says Franklin is wanted on felony warrants, including larceny and burglary.
Joyce says Franklin has an extensive record in Texas, Montana, Wyoming and Arkansas.
