AUGUSTA, Maine — A former president of Bath Iron Works has been nominated for a seat on the Maine Maritime Academy Board of Trustees.

Gov. John Baldacci announced Dugan Shipway’s nomination last week. Shipway, of Bath, is retired. He became BIW president after a 35-year U.S. Navy career.

Baldacci has also nominated Victoria Larson of Windham for reappointment to the academy board. Larson is a vice president for TD Bank and served in the Navy from 1980 until 1998.

Those and several other nominations by Baldacci face legislative committee review and Senate confirmation votes. printed on May 26, 2017
