ORONO and AUBURN – Sandra K. Robinson, 70, died Dec. 15, 2009, at a Bangor hospital after a short illness. She was born Nov. 27, 1939, in Acushnet, Mass., the daughter of Milton and Dorothy (Metcalf) Smith. Sandra was a longtime resident of Auburn and valedictorian of Edward Little High School, graduating in 1957. She received her registered nurse’s training at Peter Bent Brigham Hospital School of Nursing, Boston, a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Maine at Augusta, and her Master of Business Administration from Western New England College. Sandra loved music and played the accordion and piano. She worked in nursing, specializing in oncology, and later in the insurance industry. Sandra was active in churches and with the American Cancer Society. She is survived by her daughter and her husband, Kim and Jeffrey McKeage of North Haven, Conn. A service of remembrance will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 19, at All Souls Congregational Church, Bangor, with the Rev. Renee U. Garrett, M. Div., Minister of Christian Nurture, officiating.
