Jury indicts man in 2006 death of woman

The Associated Press

ALFRED, Maine — A 22-year-old man has been indicted on a charge of murder in connection with the death of a woman who had disappeared three years ago.

A grand jury meeting in York County returned the indictment against Robert Copley, of Hiram, who was arrested late Friday and jailed.

He’s charged with killing 25-year-old Frances Moulton, whose body was discovered in a well in Lebanon in June. Detectives said she was killed in July 2006.

State police said Copley and Moulton knew each other, but released no further information.
