BRUNSWICK – Bruce M. Hartmann, 59, a resident of Washington Lane, Litchfield, died Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2009, at Midcoast Hospital, Brunswick. He was born June 15, 1950, in Brooklyn, N.Y. He grew up in Brentwood, Long Island, N.Y., and graduated from Brentwood High School, Class of 1968. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1969 to 1972, and then went on to work at Bath Iron Works for 35 years as an electrician. Bruce was a huge Yankees fan and loved to be in a room full of Red Sox fans. He loved cooking and fishing, but most of all he loved being on his boat, fishing with his grandson or entertaining friends. Bruce was predeceased by his parents, Edward and Theresa Hartmann; and a brother, Edward Hartmann II. Survivors include his two daughters, April and her husband, Tom Evertsen, of Lisbon Falls, and Elizabeth and her husband, Steve Rogers, of Lisbon Falls; and a grandson, Alex Evertsen. The Hartmann family wishes to offer a special thank you to Bruce’s doctors and the wonderful staff at Midcoast Intensive Care Unit. Visiting hours will be held 4-7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, at Crosman Funeral Home, 40 Main St., Lisbon Falls, where a special toast in Bruce’s memory will be given 7 p.m. A private burial ceremony will be held at the Maine Veterans’ Cemetery, Augusta.
