THEODORE L. HERRICK

BANGOR – Theodore L. Herrick, 87, died Nov. 30, 2009, at the Maine Veterans’ Home, Bangor. He was born Feb. 3, 1922, in Lisbon Falls, a son of Daniel and Lillian (Weymouth) Herrick. Ted served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean War. He was employed by the USDA as a soil scientist. He was an active member of the Baptist churches wherever he resided, serving in many capacities. He was predeceased by his first wife, Barbara (Butt) Herrick; and a grandson, Adam Herrick. Surviving are his wife of seven years, Fern (Perkins) Herrick of Zephyrhills, Fla.; six children and their spouses, Darrel Herrick of Bushnell, Fla., Daniel Herrick of Bangor, Donald Herrick of San Jose, Calif., David Herrick of Princeton and John Herrick of South Pasadena, Fla., and Susan H. McVetty of Guildhall, Vt.; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. A graveside memorial service will be conducted at a later date at Charleston Cemetery.
