How might the Brunswick Naval Air Station be redeveloped?

The coastal base could hold great potential for redevelopment. What should be given priority? Should its potential for economic development for the region – job creation – guide the decision process? Is the site appropriate for industry? Or would a “softer,” less direct approach be more practical, such as selling some of the property for high-end housing? What lessons can be learned from other bases that were redeveloped, such as the former Dow Air Force Base in Bangor and the former Loring Air Force base in Limestone?
