CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER The City of Brewer (9,123 pop.) is seeking a highly motivated, team oriented individual to fill the position of Code Enforcement Officer. Qualified individuals must already possess the necessary state certifications in land use, building, plumbing and electrical code as well as all other applicable state mandated certifications for Code Enforcement Officers. Qualified individuals must possess a valid state driver’s license. The essential duties of this position include: a working knowledge of state statutes and the ability to ensure compliance with all applicable laws, including local ordinances. The successful candidate will be able to multi-task a wide range of responsibilities, including reviewing plans and specifications for all types of buildings while approving, rejecting or annotating plans in accordance with applicable codes and ordinances for property owners, architects, engineers, contractors, developers or others.
