ISLE AU HAUT, Maine — The owners of a bed and breakfast that operated out of a historic lighthouse station on a Maine island have reduced the asking price for their property.

Jeff and Judi Burke last spring put the Keeper’s House Inn on Isle au Haut on the market for $2.5 million. The Burkes bought the former Robinson Point Light Station in 1986, renovated it and opened it as an inn.

According to Compass Point Real Estate, the asking price has been lowered to $1.9 million.

The property, which is on the National Register of Historic Places, includes the lighthouse keeper’s house, a guest house, two cabins and a boathouse along 700 feet of ocean frontage. It does not include the automated lighthouse, which is owned by the town of Isle au Haut.
