Someone broke into the Bangor Municipal Golf Course’s maintenance building last week and damaged or stole items inside, police said Monday.

Bangor police Sgt. Paul Edwards said the break-in at the building on Webster Avenue occurred sometime between when the golf course closed on Nov. 9 and opened the next day.

“Numerous tools and equipment were stolen [including] a Dell computer tower, and two large bags of returnable bottles,” Edwards said. “Also several thousands of dollars of estimated damage was done to at least one golf cart and other lawn tractors.”

Police are asking for the public’s help in tracking down the perpetrator, he said.

Anyone with information about the incident may call the Bangor Police Department’s tip line at 947-7385, ext. 95811.
