BOSTON — University of Maine running standout Corey Conner qualified for the NCAA national cross country meet after finishing ninth in the Northeast Regional meet held at Boston University Saturday.
Conner recorded a ninth-place finish in the women’s race with a time of 22 minutes, 29 seconds over the 6-kilometer course.
The top 25 finishers in each region qualify for the national championship races which will be held Nov. 23 at Indiana State University in Terre Haute.
The Maine women finished 10th in the Northeast meet and the Maine men placed 21st while Syracuse swept both meets.
