Rowdy reality divas set sights on NBC’s ‘Mercy’

By Aimee Thibodeau, BDN Staff

Oh boy, do I have news this week. In a very unlikely combination, two of the “Real Housewives of New Jersey” from Bravo will join the cast of NBC’s “Mercy” for one drama-filled episode.

I’m not sure if it’s a marketing or publicity gimmick, but Teresa Giudice and Jacqueline Laurita will appear on next Wednesday’s “Mercy” at 8 p.m. It’ll be fun to see if these ladies get rowdy and flip over any hospital beds or operating tables. After all, it’s not out of character.

For those of you who missed it, you can check out Teresa’s famous table flip on YouTube. In what some bloggers say could have been a staged fit of rage, Teresa flipped the dinner table (food and all) during a heated argument that started with housewives Danielle Staub and Dina Manzo. Let’s hope no scalpels go flying next week.

Another feisty reality diva also has plans for a new show thanks to the man that made her who she is. TV One network (kind of like BET) is partnering with Donald Trump to bring Omarosa back into our living rooms with “Omarosa’s Ultimate Merger.”

If you’re fearing the worst, you’re right – it’s a dating show.

Trump Productions is producing eight episodes that will follow Omarosa as she looks for the perfect partner. She’ll have a pool of bachelors to choose from and will make them compete against each other in relationship and business challenges until it’s down to one.

While I would like to predict disaster, Trump and Omarosa make quite the team and as mean and stubborn as she can be, you have to respect her drive and determination. She’s one of the few “Apprentices” we can’t seem to forget (not that she’d let us) and who keep popping up.

It will be fun to see who wears the pants as she whittles down the competition. After all, what man in his right mind would sign up to be a contestant in the first place?

An air date for “Omarosa’s Ultimate Merger” hasn’t been set yet, but I would look for this one in the new spring lineup.
