A health care reform bill passed the House of Representatives. What role should Maine Sens. Snowe and Collins take in the debate? Should Sen. Snowe continue to draw the line on the public option, refusing to support the bill if it contains a government-run plan? Or should she work to improve the bill? Like Sen. Snowe, Sen. Collins, as a moderate Republican, will be courted heavily for her vote. What should she do to improve the bill? Should she reject it and work to defeat it? Or should both senators consider the sentiments of their constituents, namely that most Mainers support reform legislation with a public option?
How should Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins vote on health care?
