Falmouth rolls over Ellsworth for Class B boys soccer title

SCARBOROUGH, Maine — The Falmouth High School boys soccer team, powered by three early second-half goals, rolled over Ellsworth to win the Class B state championship Saturday afternoon.

Gabe Hoffman-Johnson, Sam White and Alec Dunn scored the goals, which led Falmouth to its third Class B state title in four years.

Dunn assisted on the first two goals, with White and Ford Bohrman assisting on Dunn’s goal.

Falmouth keepers Ben Goffin and Jeremy Lydick combined for 3 saves on 7 Ellsworth shots. Ellsworth goalie Tom Sawyer made 7 saves on 31 Falmouth shots.
