Ellsworth voters elect pair of city councilors

ELLSWORTH, Maine — Voters returned one city councilor to office and elected one new councilor in balloting on Tuesday.

Incumbent Councilor Stephen K. Beathem received 1,831 votes to win another three-year term on the council, and Matthew J. Boucher received 1,698 votes to win the seat on the council vacated by Matthew Foster, who did not seek re-election. Rob A. Hudson received 1, 448 votes.

In uncontested races, Jason C. Barrett and Ronald J. Fortier were elected to three-year terms on the library board of trustees.
