Hampden 1, Edward Little 0

At Hampden, Graham Safford scored the game’s only goal with 6:52 to play to send his Hampden Academy Broncos on into the semifinal round.
Bradley Dolan took a cross pass and headed it to Safford near the six and Safford headed it in for the score. Logan Porier made three saves on 11 shots and notched his sixth shutout of the season for the 12-3 Broncos.
Ian Dollen-Olliveto made seven saves on 17 shots for the 7-5-2 Red Eddies of Auburn.

Bangor 4, Lawrence 0

At Bangor, Nick George scored two goals as top-ranked Bangor cruised past No. 8 Lawrence of Fairfield.
Bangor (15-0) will play No. 5 Erskine Academy of South China (9-2-4) in Saturday’s regional semifinals. Erskine defeated No. 4 Lewiston 2-1 in overtime in its quarterfinal.
Kyle Savage gave Bangor a 1-0 lead 6:25 into its match. The play began on a corner kick that Lawrence goalie Codey Fabian tried to knock away, but couldn’t clear the ball from the crease. The ball went to the ground, where Savage grounded a shot through the crowd and just inside the right post for his first goal of the season.
George made it 2-0 with 6:35 left in the half, taking a pass from Brandon Landry and then dribbling into the center of the field before rocketing a high 25-yard shot to Fabian’s right.
George added his second goal of the match and team-leading 15th of the season with 18:13 left in the second half. Cody Cormier carried the ball deep down the right side of the field then crossed the ball through the goal crease. Teammate Jacques Larochelle saved the ball from going over the end line by tipping a pass back to George, who scored on a sharp-angled shot from the left of the goal.
Cormier capped off the scoring with 9:19 remaining, running in to take a corner kick from the right wing by George and grounding a shot just inside the near post.
Bangor outshot Lawrence 21-5. Bud Angst earned his 13th shutout of the season with four saves, while Fabian made 10 stops for 6-8-1 Lawrence.

Presque Isle 2, Winslow 0

At Presque Isle, sophomore Isaac LaJoie scored off a Josh Allen assist with 27 minutes left in the first half as No. 2 Presque Isle eliminated No. 7 Winslow.
Junior Andrew Legassie added an insurance goal with 15 minutes remaining in the second for 13-0-2 Presque Isle. LaJoie had the assist. Dillon Kingsbury made six saves on 10 shots.
MacKenzie Michaud turned away 17 of 22 shots for 6-8-1 Winslow.

Mount View 2, Old Town 1
At Thorndike, Justin Pierel scored an unassisted goal with 1:51 left in regulation to break the 1-1 tie and lead No. 3 Mount View past No. 6 Old Town.
Zach Babin scored off a Peter Kang assist with 18:57 left in the first to put 12-2-1 Mount View up 1-0. Nick Knight saved eight of 12 shots.
Luke Bartlett tied it at 1-1 with an assist from Chris Gilman with 7:35 left in the first for 7-8 Old Town. Lee Larry turned away six of 12 shots.

Ellsworth 6, MDI 1
At Ellsworth, Kyle Haslam scored four goals in the first half, three in a six-minute span, to lead top-seeded Ellsworth past No. 8 Mount Desert Island of Bar Harbor.
Matt Duhaime also scored in the first to make it a 5-1 halftime score. Zach Emeigh had a second-half goal and provided two assists for the 14-0-1 Eagles. Drew Barkhouse, Andrew Austin and Duhaime recorded assists. Jordan Carter saved three of seven shots.
Dennis O’Neil scored an unassisted goal in the first for the 7-8-1 Trojans. Connor Records stopped four of 18 shots.

Camden Hills 6, Caribou 1
At Rockport, senior Jimmy Weserling scored two goals and assisted two others as No. 4 Camden Hills rolled past No. 5 Caribou.
Sam Predham also had two goals and an assist for the 13-2 Windjammers. Max Twaddel and Andy Stevick also scored. Zach Nelson and Andrew Flanagan recorded assists. Ian Cushing saved five of six shots.
Cameron Anderson scored a first-half goal off a Roland Thibodeau assist for the 6-6-3 Vikings. Stephen St. Peter stopped seven of 15 shots.

Fort Kent 5, Foxcroft 0

At Fort Kent, Tom Levesque scored two goals to lead No. 2 Fort Kent by No. 7 Foxcroft Academy.
Sam Chasse, Jared Soucy and Brandon Hartt each added a goal for the 10-3-2 Warriors and Antonio Naranja, Chapin Scaggs and Cubby Naranja each chipped in with an assist. Alex Charette made six saves on 12 shots.
For 8-5-3 Foxcroft, Hadi El Rabbat made four saves on 27 shots.

Washington Acad. 4, Houlton 1
At East Machias, seniors Ben Teer and Noah Von Rotz scored two goals apiece to lead No. 3 Washington Academy past No. 6 Houlton.
Brett Lyons, Nick Hixson, Li Yizhao and Nico Forte provided assists for the 15-0 Raiders. Bryce Colbeth saved two of four shots.
Gary Fowler scored a second-half goal for the 9-4-2 Shiretowners. Jared Tapley saved four of 20 shots.
Madawaska 1, Penquis 0
At Madawaska, Dylan Wetmore scored the only goal with a hard shot to the left side of the net from the 18 as the top-seeded Owls edged Penquis of Milo.
The goal came off the rebound of a shot by Jon Lee.
Jamie Cyr had his eighth shutout of the season for the 12-2-1 Owls by saving all six shots he faced.
Richie Russell saved 26 of 27 shots for the 8-7-1 Patriots.

Orono 1, Penobscot Valley 0
At Orono, junior midfielder Nick Peterson scored with just 1:26 remaining in regulation to give Orono its win over previously undefeated Penobscot Valley of Howland.
Sean Kilpatrick’s corner kick was flicked to the back post off the head of Miguel Caballero and Peterson, with his back to the goal, eventually controlled the ball, turned and ripped a 10-yarder past helpless Howler goalie Jake Jones.
A.J. Coleman made two saves on 13 shots for the 13-1-1 Red Riots, the fourth seed.
Jones made seven saves on 15 shots for the fifth-seeded Howlers, who finished up at 14-1.

Central Aroostook 4, Machias 1

At Machias, Daniel Brewer scored three goals to lead the Central Aroostook Panthers of Dyer Brook past No. 4 Machias.
Brandon Anthony scored the other goal for the 12-3 Panthers while Ross Grass made five saves on 17 shots.
Matt Little scored the only goal for the 9-5-1 Bulldogs off an assist from Tyler Prout. Justin Weaver made 10 saves on 20 shots.

DI-Stonington 1, Calvary Chap. 0
At Orrington, scoreless after regulation and two overtimes, No. 9 Deer Isle-Stonington upset top-seeded Calvary Chapel 3-1 in penalty kicks.
Jay Boyce, Toby Schulze and Brett Gagne converted three of the 11-3-2 Mariners’ four penalty kick attempts. Joe Carter turned away 10 of 15 shots.
Stephen Berenyi had the 11-3-1 Sabers’ lone penalty kick goal. Devon Warman saved 11 of 12 shots.

Bangor Christian 4, Shead 0
At Bangor, senior Brandon Wilcox recorded his first hat trick as No. 2 Bangor Christian eliminated No. 7 Shead of Eastport.
Junior Zach Sirois also scored for the 13-2 Patriots. Rem Poulin provided two assists and Brad Wilcox had an assist. Tyler Alexander saved seven of 10 shots.
Nicholas Vinson made 11 saves off 30 shots for 9-7 Shead.

So. Aroostook 5, Ashland 0
At Presque Isle, Dakota Sleeper scored two goals as sixth-seeded Southern Aroostook of Dyer Brook shut out No. 3 Ashland.
Anthony Diaferio, Jake Lassonde and Jesse Small added goals for the 12-3 Warriors. David Dubois assisted Sleeper’s second goal. Jesse Boulier stopped all 22 shots.
J.J. D’Ozier turned away 24 of 29 shots for 11-4 Ashland.

Fort Kent 4, Foxcroft 1

At Fort Kent, senior Gabby Naranja had a hat trick to
lift No. 2 Fort Kent over No. 7 Foxcroft Academy.
Naranja scored goals 39 seconds apart in the first half and added a third in the second half off a Katie Nadeau assist. Senior Taylor Boucher also scored in the first to put 11-3-1 Fort Kent up 3-0 at halftime.
Shee-Ann Sargent scored on a direct kick off a wall of Fort Kent defenders 24 minutes left in the second for the 9-6-1 Ponies.
Fort Kent’s Carissa Pelletier saved three of four shots while Sarah Whittemore of Foxcroft Academy made 14 saves on 18 shots.

Maine Maritime 2, UMF 1 (PK)

At Castine, Maine Maritime Academy outscored the University of Maine at Farmington 4-1 in penalty kicks as the Mariners eliminated the Beavers in a North Atlantic Conference quarterfinal match.
Nick El-Hajj, Ben Russell, Isaiah Roberts and Greg Smith scored on penalty kick shots for the 8-5-3 Mariners. Paul Dupre scored for the Beavers’ lone PK goal.
Abdullah Alkhayyat scored 6:10 into the game to put MMA up 1-0.
Dillon Clark tied it for the Beavers off a Michael Kelly assist in the second half.
Jeff Butland turned away 11 of 23 shots for MMA while Erik Corcoran saved four of 20 shots for UM-Farmington.

Southern Maine 1, Salem State 0
At Salem, Mass., the University of Southern Maine’s Josh Amoroso scored the first goal of his season and the only one of the game nine minutes into the second half.
For the 7-8-2 Huskies, David Kreps made six saves on nine shots for the shutout.
Scott Hall saved three of 11 shots for the 6-8 Vikings.

St. Joseph’s 3, Rivier 0
At Standish, Jack Lafreniere scored two goals, one in each half, as Saint Joseph’s College shut out Rivier College.
Doug MacCallum had a goal and an assist for the 11-7-1 Monks. Paul Robins and Jesse West had assists. Will Pike made no saves while facing one shot.
John Jarvis saved four of 22 shots for 3-13 Rivier.

St. Joseph’s 4, Southern Maine 1

At Windham, Saint Joseph’s College of Standish scored four unanswered goals to top the University of Southern Maine of Gorham in its final regular season game.
Lauren Hagerman had a goal and an assist to lead the 11-5-2 Monks. Brianna Jordan, Anna Willis and Katherine Chambers also scored. Mikayla Call and Emily Wight recorded assists. Katye Mayo saved four of seven shots.
Catherine Wise scored off a Heidi DeHaan assist at 30:04 in the first half for the 4-13 Huskies. Alison Bradley turned away 11 of 19 shots.


Peter Scheve (Colby College senior), division three football national team of the week, defensive lineman, had five tackles, two sacks and a fumble recovery in Colby’s 16-0 win over Hamilton.
