Landry tops Super field

Bangor Daily News

WISCASSET, Maine — Bad luck didn’t haunt Mike Landry of Oakland on Sunday as he held off Appleton’s Jeremy Glasier and Woolwich’s Adam Chadbourne over three late-race cautions to capture the Ray Haskell Ford Super Street Division race. Dan McKeage finished fourth and Scott Dorr was fifth.

Landry was on his way to pocketing a $10,000 paycheck in the same race a year ago when his car developed mechanical problems with two laps to go and he couldn’t finish.

GREENVILLE, S.C. — Hallowell’s Johnny Clark captured his second straight Pro All-Stars Series Super Late Model Southern Division season finale Saturday evening when he took the checkered flag at the Howler 125 at the Greenville-Pickens Speedway.

Clark, who won the Mason-Dixon Meltdown a year ago at South Boston Speedway (Va.), took the lead on lap 78 and held off Jay Fogleman for the victory.

D.J. Shaw was third followed by Ben Rowe and Randy Porter.

Turner’s Rowe wrapped up the PASS South points championship and finished second to Clark in the PASS North standings.
