Connecticut man killed in Monmouth crash

MONMOUTH, Maine — Police say a Connecticut man was killed in Maine when he was ejected from a pickup truck and into a stream after the truck struck a bridge.

Police on Saturday were still investigating the Friday night accident in Monmouth. Killed was 25-year-old J. Allyn Marshall of Waterford, Conn. Injured was 19-year-old Nathan McNear of Auburn. Police said it wasn’t clear which person was driving.

Police say Marshall was ejected after the pickup hit the cement railing on the bridge over Jug Stream and flipped onto its roof. His body was found downstream from the accident site on Route 135.
